let it snow

let it snow

One of the only things that can slow the pace of New York city is inclement weather. Luckily the first snow of the season arrived over the weekend causing minimal inconvenience — in fact it was rather magical.

While gail force winds and slushy snow kept most indoors, I grabbed my vintage Chanel military coat circa 1983 and head for a bit of wintery decadence at the Baccarat Hotel. What else is a fashionista to do?

The opulent hotel nestled in the heart of midtown is the perfect place to take shelter from the cold. Not to mention it’s just steps from the best shops Madison Avenue has to offer. But I digress…

Once we got past the mesmerizing light installation stalling patrons upon entrance we ducked into Les Boissons for a tea and hot toddy. The hotel’s bar is designed in the great American “long bar” style with crimson velvet accents that complimented my look so well the place practically begged for a photo op. So I obliged…obviously 😉
