With holiday parties just around the corner I like to spice up my wardrobe with several pieces that are sure to stand out in a sea of black cocktail dresses. My new Balenciaga thigh-highs are a futuristic upgrade on the classic tall boot and serve as the perfect accessory to upgrade a black dress. The silver and black geometric print of the boot also makes it surprisingly wearable with an array of different outfits. Although these boots are a statement piece they can be worn more casually with black jeans and a chunky sweater. For this particular outfit, I choose to do a light smoky eye a nude lipstick, not to take away from the boots. However, a pop of red lipstick could also be the perfect holiday accessory for any event or party coming up!
However, these boots are not the only holiday-approved piece of my outfit. A feather-trimmed skirt is the perfect piece to dress up during cold December nights. In fact, you can wear the same feather skirt to work with a white button down and sweater and then as the workday winds down your outfit can be transformed from day to night. Take off your black opaque tights, change from a button down to a silk burgundy cami and slip off your oxfords and put on your thigh-high boots.

In just five minutes your look can be transformed from being on Santa’s nice yet conservative list to bold and just a little naughty 😉
