From a very young age we are taught that if there is one thing that a girl needs in her closet, it’s a little black dress. Growing up, I used to watch my mother throw on several different outfits in distress, and not be satisfied with any of her choices. By the time her closet looked like a tsunami struck she eyed the small portion of her closet that was dedicated solely to black dresses. Every single time she put on one of her classic dresses she looked like a goddess. I remember being a little girl and thinking to myself that, that’s exactly what I want to be wearing when I’m older.
As soon as I laid my eyes on this black satin La Perla dress I had a flashback to my mother’s closet. I’ve had my fair share of little black dresses, but this one was different. The lace inlay on the sides, and the bustier top give this elegant dress an edge of sex appeal that I have long been craving. I paired this dress with a classic pair of patent leather Jimmy Choo heels; the nude color-block elongates my legs, while the black outer layer highlights on the details of the dress. This dress is paired best with a classic pair of heels and a chilled glass of champagne 😉
