Although the Balmain X H&M collection came out several months ago it is now more relevant than ever. America’s first Balmain flagship store opened this weekend in New York, which means that Olivier Rousteing’s spectacular designs will surely be on every street corner. I’m an avid owner of all things Balmain but the one piece that truly stood out to me through out his collaboration with H&M was the perfectly effortless, yet structured nature of my bedazzled fuchsia-colored dress.
With its geometric print and metallic overlay, it reflects off of the objects in the room—enhancing the design even further. I paired this look with deep burgundy pumps and large square frames (that’s actually one of my fashion secrets—wearing the same color in different shades enhances the overall effect of the main piece).
